What is traditionally considered to be dining room furniture is now often included in a spacious kitchen. But, we can just as easily make an elegant table for a classical dining room, as a more functional table for the contemporary kitchen
Kitchen and dining tables.
Our most popular table is a strong and sturdy solid oak refectory table, with either plain, chamfered, or turned, gun barrel, legs. These can be made to almost any size, with or without draw leaves. The tops are made from eight inch planks and legs are from a single, solid four-inch piece of oak. We also make oak pedestal tables, which can be circular, square, or oval.
Other designs – chunky, rustic, plain or more ornate – can be made to order.
Chairs, stools and benches.
Stevenson McConnel offer a range of different oak chairs for either the kitchen or dining room, as well as stools in varying heights and designs, such as the cock-fighting stool. We also make benches, which can tuck under the table.
Sideboards & Dressers.
Our sideboards and dressers are all made in solid oak. The sideboards are typically either two or three door, but can be made larger. The style of hinges and handles is optional. The sideboard generally forms the bottom of a traditional dresser, with the top either open or with a glazed display cabinet.
